Sofwave™

Sofwave™ is an FDA-cleared, non-invasive skin-tightening device that utilizes Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam (SUPERB™) technology. Unlike older ultrasound devices that focus energy into tiny, painful dots, Sofwave delivers a high-frequency, parallel beam of ultrasound energy. This creates a wider, more uniform treatment area in the precise layer of the skin where collagen is produced, resulting in a smoother, tighter, and more lifted appearance. 

The treatment works by remodeling collagen. The SUPERB™ technology safely heats the mid-dermis (about 1.5mm deep) to the optimal temperature of 60–70°C. This targeted heat triggers a natural healing response within the skin, stimulating the aggressive production of new collagen and elastin. While the deeper layers are heated, Sofwave’s integrated Sofcool™ cooling mechanism actively protects the surface of your skin from any thermal damage. 

Sofwave is highly effective for targeting areas prone to gravity and skin laxity. It is clinically proven and cleared to:

• Lift the eyebrows (providing a non-surgical brow lift and opening up the eyes).
• Tighten the submental tissue (the area under the chin).
• Lift and define the jawline (reducing jowls).
• Smooth and tighten neck tissue.
• Reduce fine lines and wrinkles across the full face.

Sofwave is ideal for patients—typically in their 30s to older adults—who are experiencing mild to moderate skin laxity and want noticeable lifting without the risks, costs, or recovery time of surgery. A major benefit of Sofwave is that its ultrasound technology is "color-blind," meaning it is completely safe and effective for all skin types and tones (unlike some lasers). 

Patient comfort is a top priority at Revive Aesthetic Clinic. Because the treatment relies on delivering heat to the dermis, you will feel warmth and brief moments of heat during the energy pulses. However, Sofwave is generally considered much more comfortable than older, traditional ultrasound lifting devices. To ensure a smooth and tolerable experience, we apply a strong, medical-grade topical numbing cream to the treatment area 45 minutes before your session, and the device’s built-in Sofcool™ system continuously cools the skin as it works. 

There is zero downtime associated with Sofwave. It is a true "lunchtime procedure." Because the ultrasound energy targets the tissue beneath the skin’s surface while leaving the outer layer entirely intact, there is no peeling, flaking, or bruising. You may experience some mild, temporary pinkness or a warm sensation immediately after the treatment, but this typically resolves within a few hours. You can apply makeup and return to your normal daily activities right away. 

 The collagen regeneration process takes time. While some patients report an immediate "glow" or slight tightening effect due to initial collagen contraction, the true results unfold gradually.

• Visible Improvements: Expect to see noticeable lifting and smoothing starting at 4 to 6 weeks.
• Peak Results: Optimal results are typically visible around the 3-month mark as new collagen and elastin fully rebuild. Depending on your age, lifestyle, and natural aging process, results typically last between 1 to 2 years.

For most patients, only one single session is needed to achieve significant, long-lasting results. Depending on the degree of your skin laxity and your personal aesthetic goals, our clinical team may recommend a second session 3 to 6 months later to maximise the lifting effect.
